The first batch of 32 cabin crew members representing 14 nationalities, has successfully completed their initial training course for Riyadh Air, marking a significant milestone as they become the first graduates of Saudi Arabia’s new world-class airline.
The graduation ceremony underscores the airline’s commitment to showcasing Saudi Arabia’s authentic hospitality and high standards of service in advance of Riyadh Air’s preparations towards the start of operations in 2025. The crew’s comprehensive training covered essential areas, including first aid and safety measures, security procedures, and more.
These 32 crew members were initially selected from over 150,000 applicants as the initial intake and will be the first of many thousands to join Riyadh Air in the coming years. The next step is to increase recruitment of cabin crew in the coming months to meet the future demands of our network and schedule and we encourage anyone who has applied that our talent team will be in contact very soon.
Peter Bellew, Chief Operating Officer of Riyadh Air, said:
We’re incredibly proud of the dedication demonstrated by the ladies and gentlemen who have taken the first steps toward becoming integral members of our world-class airline. As the primary point of contact for our passengers, cabin crew play a crucial role in delivering exceptional hospitality and service. The training course they’ve completed has equipped these talented individuals with the tools to fulfill our promise of a world-class experience, which will become Riyadh Air’s hallmark when we take to the skies.
When Riyadh Air launches in 2025 as the world’s most forward-thinking carrier, it is poised to significantly contribute to Saudi Vision 2030 by attracting over 100 million visitors to the Kingdom, increasing the sector’s contribution to GDP by more than 10% by the end of the decade, and directly and indirectly creating over 200,000 new jobs globally and locally.
